Possibly the best way to immerse yourself in a village community is to attend their town market. Certainly, this the case for our local market. Held year-round, The Barwon Heads Market is a minute walk from 100 Hitchcock.
It is held every Saturday from December to January in the peak season. While, for quieter months, it is held on the last Saturday every month from February to November.
The stalls numbers vary each week. Generally, there is a variety of Fresh food and lovely homewares. (Fresh fruit, vegetables, jams, lavender, oils, plants, homemade crafts and jewellery.
There’s also Devonshire tea and sausage sizzle to be enjoyed.
It’s not big, however, you will feel a part of the village. Even better, it is worth a short 1-minute stroll from 100 Hitchcock (Corner Hitchcock Avenue and Ozone Street) at the community hall.
